Bridge of Hope is a church-based approach to ending family homelessness for women and children with the help of trained mentoring groups within congregations. Our goal is to exemplify Christ’s love and to promote physical, emotional, social and spiritual wholeness. Single mothers attain: permanent housing; financial stability through employment; life-changing friendships; growth and wholeness.
Human Life Services
Free pregnancy testing, free ultrasounds, confidential counseling about pregnancy options, prenatal and parenting education, maternity and baby clothes, post-abortion recovery counseling, work with men/father of baby, Bible studies that encourage individuals to grow in their faith, etc. The center offers peer counseling and accurate information about all pregnancy options; however, they do not offer or refer for services that are related to terminating a pregnancy
New Life for Girls
Introducing women ages 18 and up, as well as mothers and their children to a new way of living, they provide a comprehensive 24-hr residential program for those who are struggling with life controlling problems such as drug and alcohol addiction, eating disorders, and sexual abuse issue. Lives are changed and transformed in a safe and loving environment.
Pennsylvanians Concerned About Alcohol Problems
A non-profit organization that seeks to educate young people and adults about the harmful effect of using alcohol and other drugs. Not affiliated with any government organization. PCAP has been in existence for more than 100 years in the state of Pennsylvania teaching about alcohol and other drugs in public and private school classrooms.
Released Time Bible Program
A Pennsylvania state approved program which allows public school students to be dismissed from school for religious instruction, with parental permission to participate. Released Time is not illegal in any state, but laws and restrictions vary from state to state.
Rhodes Grove Camp
Providing a place of peaceful retreat for children and adults to enjoy creation, fellowship and meaningful activities: summer camp activities for children/youth, retreats, special meetings, conferences, motel & dorm accommodations, fall festival.
York Rescue Missions
Meeting the needs of hungry, homeless, and hopeless neighbors for more than half a century by providing food, shelter, clothing, and a variety of services to help people get back on their feet, find new life, and get a fresh start. People come to the Mission broken and desperate, and they often leave healed and whole.
